One-proof Thermal Paper thermal paper and three-proof thermal paper are two mainstream thermal label materials widely used in logistics, retail, fresh food and warehousing.
One-proof Thermal Paper thermal paper only offers basic water resistance. It uses acrylic glue at a lower cost. Prints last about 6–8 months indoors. It cannot resist oil, alcohol or heavy friction. It works best for dry, short-cycle scenarios: domestic courier slips, retail price tags, receipts and temporary warehouse labels. It is not suitable for cold chain, oily or frequently disinfected environments.
Three-proof thermal paper features waterproof, oil-proof and scratch-resistant properties. Premium types can withstand alcohol wiping. Most adopt hot melt glue for stronger adhesion on rough surfaces. Printed content remains legible for 1–2 years. It is the preferred choice for fresh food, cross-border shipping, cold chain, workshop tags and medical specimen labels.
Key reminder: Both thermal papers will fade quickly under long-time direct sunlight or continuous high temperature. For long-term outdoor marking, thermal transfer PET or PP synthetic paper with resin ribbon is recommended.
Choose One-proof Thermal Paper thermal paper for cost-saving and short-term indoor use. Pick Three-proof thermal paper when labels face moisture, oil, disinfection and repeated handling.
