PET film features excellent transparency, tensile strength and dimensional stability. Two main adhesive options for different applications:
Acrylic Glue PET Film Water-based acrylic PSA, room-temperature cold lamination. Best for advertising laminating, printed labels, temporary protection of glass, acrylic and appliance panels, electronic masking. Benefits: High clarity, residue-free peeling, cost-effective, easy to use.
Hotmelt Glue PET Film No tack at room temperature. Activates under heat & pressure for permanent bonding. Best for garment labels, embroidery patches, leather/bag/shoe composite, automotive interior, hardware & electronic assembly. Benefits: Solvent-free, strong bond, waterproof, wash resistant and anti-aging.
Key Tips
- Select the right type: acrylic for temporary protection; hotmelt for permanent composite.
- Store sealed rolls in cool dry place (15–25°C, RH 40–60%). Avoid sunlight and heavy stacking.
- Keep substrate clean & dry for acrylic film. Follow proper heat/pressure settings for hotmelt film.
- Use within shelf life to avoid adhesive aging.
Acrylic and hotmelt PET films cannot replace each other. Correct selection minimizes defects and material waste.
