PP synthetic paper rolls are roll-form synthetic materials made from polypropylene (PP) resin. They have a paper-like appearance while possessing the strength and toughness of plastic. Available in matte or glossy finishes, they are waterproof, tear-resistant, moisture-proof, and fold-resistant, with excellent printability. They are suitable for applications such as rotary printing, labels, and outdoor advertising.
Common Specifications and Applicable Scenarios
80–150μm: Clothing tags, product labels, instruction manuals, maps, indoor posters
180–250μm: Product brochures, menus, cards, waterproof flyers
280μm and above: outdoor display boards, waterproof hanging tags, tear-resistant packaging, with high stiffness.
Glossy PP synthetic paper vs. Matte PP synthetic paper
Glossy PP synthetic paper: features a shiny surface, high color saturation, and strong image representation;
Matte PP synthetic paper: Low reflectivity, clear text, comfortable reading, resistant to fingerprints, commonly used for labels and manuals.
Key Selection Points
- For outdoor and humid environments, preferentially select PP synthetic paper as an alternative to ordinary wood pulp paper.
- Choose thin versions for labels and tags, while thicker versions are required for stiff cards and display boards.
- Compatible with flexographic printing, offset printing, UV printing, and digital printing; can perform gold stamping and die-cutting.
- Supports customization of roll width and can provide sample tests for ink adhesion.
